The Jungfraujoch is accessible all year round by the Jungfrau railway. Possible routes are:

  • Interlaken Ost - Lauterbrunnen - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch
  • Interlaken Ost - Grindelwald - Kleine Scheidegg - Jungfraujoch

The train ride from Interlaken Ost to Jungfraujoch by either route takes about 2.5 hours.

The closest parking possibilities are at the railway stations of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald Grund.

The access to the trains at Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch is controlled. In order that the researchers and workers (e.g. service-technicians) do not have to wait in line to board the trains, they are asked to go to the black Marketing-Meeting Point at the Kleine Scheidegg and at Jungfraujoch - see the map. They should inform the JB-staff that they want to take the next train.
This rule does not apply for the staff-train in the morning. This train is still waiting in the violet zone and can be boarded as usual.
