The 1.5 m Cassegrain infrared (IR) telescope is optimized for measurements at near- and mid-IR wavelengths in a wide range of observational projects.
Standard detector instruments are the imaging camera ARNICA (ARcetri Near Infrared Camera) for the near infrared band between 1.0 and 2.5 μm, the TIRGO near infrared single photometer FIRT, the long-slit near infrared spectrometer LONGSP, and the 3-20 μm mid-IR camera TIRCAM-II.
